Fully Digital Imaging!
For unparalleled service, speed and access
This year, Papastavros Associates Medical Imaging (PAMI) became fully digital with the conversion of all mammography and X-ray units to filmless technology. The result is a host of benefits for referring physicians and patients, including unparalleled service, speed and access to patient images.
Converting to digital imaging is comparable to changing from an analog camera that uses film to a top-of-the-line digital camera. Not only do digital images afford the ability to share images electronically, but they also can improve clarity and interpretation.

“We’re thrilled to offer completely digital technology,” notes Garth Koniver, M.D., FACR. “We can transfer, retrieve and send images throughout our entire practice based on the patient’s point of care. And patients receive less radiation.”
Vickie Bedel, director of operations, states, “The technology dramatically cuts the number of repeat films and it’s faster for patients because we eliminate darkroom processing. The results are high quality reads on every study we perform.”
Anthony Scola, M.D. adds, “Digital creates an amazing step forward in patient care.We can quickly get a second opinion from one of our partners and instantly pull up previous studies for comparison.
We also can complete reports more quickly while giving more definitive diagnoses.” Dr. Scola continues, “It took time for digital technology to be sufficiently reliable for mammographies and X-rays.We’re glad that day has arrived.”
“Digital imaging combines faster processing with superb accuracy” - Anthony Scola, M.D.
